About the Event
This Fair Housing power hour focuses on four areas of service discrimination and what you can do to help prevent Fair Housing complaints in regards to service requests, resident requests for reasonable modifications, sexual harrassment and customer interactions. Service teams are on the front lines of property management, directly interacting with customers, many times while they are alone. Understanding the laws and liabilities associated with their role is a vital part of being a service provider. Upon completion of this session, attendees will have:
• An understanding of the risks involved with being "too friendly" or abusing their "power"
• An increased awareness of situations in which individuals could be inadvertently discriminating • Best practices for handling requests for reasonable modifications
